Once again, the editors have beaten me to the post, with their remarkable insights--leaving me the unenviable task of doling out the errata.

First, it should be noted in the interest of full disclosure, that Ken, our sensitivity editor emeritus (who continues to be endowed with full administrative authority, nonetheless, seeing as how his name remains on the masthead) has the most to gain by encouraging 100 million Indians to emigrate to the US. What he failed to mention in his otherwise delightfully editorial piece is that he fully intends to hire every last one of them as extras in the debut of his hugely anticipated musical extravaganza, "Go-Go Ganesh." Talk about out-sourcing talent! I'm surprised a certain union actor among our readership has not taken issue with such blatant side-stepping of protocol.(Note to KPA: local kathakali performers have asked if they should bring their make-up)
Still, I do like the idea of swelling the vegetarian ranks.

Second, and this is more of an addendum than erratum, it should be noted that if you happen to arrive at the Baywatch water park and wax museum (India's first!) unprepared, you may rent a swimming sari at the park. Gents are asked to swim in shorts and t shirt.

Finally, for those who are tracking our route on their handy South India map, we are moving on today from Madurai to Kodaicanal, where we have secured a cottage with hot water and a wood stove! Handy ammenities, we've heard, as the nights up in the hills can get down to about 40 degrees these days. It's a four hour (government) bus trip, covering about 80 miles. We of the iron stomachs are not afraid.

We had dinner last night with Ken, and he insisted on "American Food". He also ordered a big chocolate milkshake. Looking forward to your return and the in-person stories of your adventures...
